Pastoral Letter 12 February

Friends

Grace and peace!

I am delighted to see the response of the congregation for the “Appeal for Towels” for the refugees. The Refugees may not know that we have given it or even the Church, but they will appreciate the love of the people. It is something like what Jesus said, “The left hand does not know what the right hand does.” This is what Christian attitude and human relationship mean.

I know very soon I will encourage you to support the “Lent appeal.” We start our Lenten season on Wednesday 1 March, with an Ash Wednesday service at 7 pm. It is a short and meaningful service for our repentance; spiritual renewal and advance. Pray and participate.

I will take the service next Sunday, as Rev.Veneeta Lucas Sing is unable to come. I will also pray for the Congregational meeting on Sunday 19 February to consider the recommendation of JNC for a new pastor.

I also would like to remind you the following services: Jacana Service on Thursday 23 February at 10 am; the Stewardship Sunday on 26 February and Church Anniversary service on 12 March. If any would like to sing or take part in the Church Anniversary service, please contact me.

If you need my pastoral visit please contact me.

Shalom!

Amos
